The “Esperienze Illuminanti (Enlightening Experiences)” project, conceived by Punto a capo, has obtained UNESCO patronage, is promoted by the University of Genoa, by the ES Energia Sostenibile Regional Center, and sees the participation of institutions, realities and partners of excellence.
If we understood light only as an electromagnetic physical phenomenon, we would greatly limit what is the meaning of light in the contemporary collective imagination, but also, we would betray what the concept of light has been in Western culture and history. This is why we have chosen to title this event “Esperienze Illuminanti” (Enlightening Experiences), inspired by the more metaphorical meaning of light that the Illuminism gave it, as “light of reason”, and whose etymological reading “light that illuminates the minds”, brings this theme closer to the most contemporary ones of innovation, vision and insight.
Illuministically speaking, we could say that it is from the spark of knowledge that the first form of energy is generated and provocatively define intelligence, culture and creativity as clean, renewable energies, with inexhaustible potential, and therefore one of the most precious energy sources. This is the logic we followed in giving life to this event, which combines different knowledge and experiences and intends to give space to scientific contributions and not only, coming from the world of universities, research, business, schools, professions: contributions capable of representing “enlightening experiences”, capable of generating innovation and worthy of disclosure and reflection.
